A wide variety of plastic powder, granulate, film, and even thermoplastic foam can be tested. The absolute moisture content is analyzed by a chemical method rather than weight loss during heating. Calibration before measurement is unnecessary with the FMX HydroTracer.

The IdentiPol QA offers a new measurement technique with which incoming materials can be determined whether they deviate from a reference database. Among other things, melting point, glass transition point and dynamic mechanical properties are screened with this system. The obtained viscoelastic fingerprint of the test sample is compared with the reference database; a deviating sample gets a low QIS score and can thus be easily recognized and rejected. The system includes a standard database. It is also suitable for glass-filled and hygroscopic materials. A granulate grain, powder or piece of product can be taken as a sample. The IdentiPol QA works with English software under Windows XP, VISTA and Windows 7.

The ABREX® simulates the testing of wear, by hand use or hand contact, on coating and printing of products, regardless of their shape, structure or material (plastic, metal, leather, etc.). The ABREX® simulates force and contact angle, in combination with standardized test materials and liquids, but also hand creams, lotions, (artificial) perspiration, cleaning agents, etc. The ABREX® offers the possibility to simulate, for example, the complex viscoelastic methodology of hand use, including chemical reactions. https://youtu.be/p9PBLnsv3hY

TAPERADER® is a mobile measuring instrument that provides real-time, reproducible measurement results of the wear resistance of surfaces through a method known as micro-grinding. This pocket-sized tribometer (TAPERADER) can be used almost anywhere and provides fast and accurate assessment of: Material surface coatings paint systems etc. the TAPERADER, tribometer, offers two measuring methods: A wear operation in the µm range is performed over a configurable measurement period from 60 to 20 s, and is recorded and immediately displayed as an a nm value. Determining the time in which, for example, a wear depth of 2 µm is reached, and displayed as a result.

The circular motion of the machine creates multi-directional scratches, making the results more representative of the actual end use than other methods in the market, which only scratch in a straight line. This test move is also suitable for testing according to EN 438-2:2016, CEN/TS 16611:2016 and IKEA

Falling dart impact test. A traditional method for evaluating the penetration resistance and toughness of a plastic film. This test uses a bullet-shaped drop body that falls from a specified height onto the sample material. During the test, the weight of the falling body is increased. The test results can be used for quality control or evaluation of material behavior in field use.

Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIR) is a fast, non-contact and highly accurate detection method for analyzing almost all plastics in solid, film, granulate or powder form. The technology can be applied mobile, in the lab and online in production for automatic separation. The measurement takes less than one second and operation is easy via the color touchscreen.

The sIRoPAD is the first and only Near Infrared measurement system worldwide for the detection of the composition of plastic samples directly from production or from a recycling process. This system is the ideal solution for the control of impurities and contaminants of PET flakes or the detection of the composition of other thermoplastic mixtures. The sIRoPAD scans the samples distributed on the reflection plate in a continuous run, measures and saves the results as a complete file with all information or as Excel files via USB or WLAN on the PC.
